| You
arrived at this page by clicking on a “Petition”
link but you don’t see a petition to sign! Did
you really think it would be that easy to make your
voice heard?
The best way you can help to oppose
the construction of elevated and continuous feeder (service
road) lanes by the Texas Department of Transportation
is to:
WRITE MY PERSONALIZED
LETTER to my Elected Officials

and
NOTIFY
ME ABOUT ATTENDING A PUBLIC MEETING
TxDot’s public meetings
are the only official mechanism they accept for public
feedback and your comments are supposed to become part
of public record. We’d like to publish the date
and place for TxDOT’s Public Meetings but their
notification process intentionally excludes key stakeholders
regarding transportation projects. TxDOT is legally
bound to provide ONLY one meeting notice. Their meetings
take place at any location of their choosing and these
are usually a considerable distance away from the affected
neighborhoods. TxDOT’s “Notice of Public
Meeting” can appear anywhere in the newspaper,
at any time within thirty days prior to the meeting.
(More on TxDOT’s
process). StopTxDotNow has made it our business
to know when and where this meeting will occur and we
will notify you immediately. Please provide us with
your contact information
through our online form so that we may notify you of
important dates and actions required. Your privacy is
honored.
Are you still wanting to sign a petition?
Now that we’ve inspired you to write personal
letters to your local officials and explained the need
for your attendance at public meetings, we want you
to know that we actually do have a petition that you
can sign.

We will be delivering a copy of this petition to various
elected officials who can help us to oppose the construction
of elevated and continuous feeder (service roads) lanes
by the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) within
the I010 corridor or right-of-way East of the Washington/Wescott
intersection. We’d like to remind you that the
content of our petition makes a good basis for a PERSONAL
LETTER that you send to your Elected Official. Please
let us know that you’ve sent written letters by
Contacting Us.
